Faith Shemfe

Faith Nenkimun Shemfe, born in 1997 in Jos-North, Plateau State, hails from Ijumu Local Government Area, Kogi State. In 2019 she received her B.A. in Fine and Applied Arts (Textile and Fashion Design major) at the University of Jos, and has served in the Textile section of the Udubrea Arts Galleries at the Jos National Museum. Shemfe uses rug weaving, batik, painting and the drawing of African traditional symbols and colours to tell stories of happenings in society and human belief, their psychological effects on people, and the solutions she proffers.
