1. About KAFART
KAFART is a biennial multidisciplinary festival celebrating contemporary art and fashion in Northern Nigeria, organised under Gazelle Creative Foundation. This website provides information about the festival, its editions, exhibitors, and Open Call, and allows visitors to subscribe to updates and get in touch.
Using this site
You are welcome to browse, read, and share pages from this site. You agree not to:
- use the website for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that could damage, disable, or overburden it
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its data, or the systems behind it
- scrape, copy, or republish substantial portions of the site's content for commercial purposes without our written permission

We may suspend or restrict access to the site, in whole or in part, at our discretion for maintenance, security, or any other reasonable reason.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise credited, the text, photography, design, and branding on this website belong to KAFART or Gazelle Creative Foundation, or are used with permission from the rights holder, including participant portfolio images, sponsor logos, or edition catalogue materials. You may view and share pages of this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or use KAFART's branding, photography, or written content for commercial purposes without asking us first.
If you believe something on this site infringes your intellectual property rights, contact us with enough detail for us to locate and review the material at hello@kafartng.org.
Open Call submissions
- You keep ownership. Applying does not transfer any ownership rights to KAFART or Gazelle Creative Foundation.
- You grant KAFART a limited licence. We may use the materials you submit, including images, bio, and portfolio excerpts, to review your application and, if you are selected, to promote your participation across the website, social media, and press materials for that edition, with credit to you.
- You confirm. The work you submit is your own, or you hold the necessary rights to submit it, and it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
- Submitting an application is not a guarantee of selection. Full eligibility criteria, deadlines, and what selected exhibitors receive are set out on the Open Call page for the current edition.
Attending the festival
Attending or participating in a KAFART event means accepting the photography and filming terms in the Privacy Policy. KAFART events are documented for archival and promotional use, and footage or photography may appear on this website, on KAFART's or Gazelle Creative Foundation's social channels, or in future promotional materials.
Newsletter and communications
If you subscribe to KAFART's newsletter, we will send you the updates described at sign-up, including open calls, programme announcements, and festival news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
Third-party links and embeds
This site may link to third-party websites, including sponsor and partner sites, social media, ticketing, or application platforms. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Linking to a site does not mean we endorse everything on it.
No warranty; accuracy of information
We do our best to keep this website accurate and up to date, but festival dates, programme details, venue information, and Open Call terms can change. We do not guarantee that everything on the site is complete, current, or error-free, and we recommend checking directly with us for anything time-sensitive before relying on it. Public dates and venue details for a KAFART edition are only considered confirmed once explicitly announced as such; provisional or draft information should not be treated as final.

Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of this website will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kaduna State.
