The Story

KAFART was born of a conviction: Northern Nigeria deserves a stage equal to its creativity. Since its first edition, the festival has brought contemporary art and fashion together to celebrate the region's talent, open markets for its creators, and build ties between communities — in Kaduna and far beyond.

Founded in Kaduna in 2019, KAFART began as a platform for art and fashion. Since then, it has convened exhibitions, runway presentations, talks, workshops, performances and exchanges that connect Northern Nigeria with creatives and audiences beyond it. In 2025, KAFART announced its transition to a biennial rhythm, creating more space for diverse narratives, voices and experiences through contemporary art and fashion.
