Ismael Mahamadou Laouli

Born in Niamey, Niger, in 1995, Ismaël Mahamadou Laouali is a former professional dancer who discovered photography in 2019. Passionate about the medium, he trained as an autodidact. Having made himself known with his mobile studio — quirky and lively — during evenings in Niamey, he began with commissioned work before developing more personal work after his arrival in Dakar in November 2019.
